It has become apparent that announcing teams on our forum is only going to cause a great amount of hisharmony amongst the players within the squad. I know i have participated in such decisions, but i think they should stop with immediate affect.
Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but to air it publicly will cause problems within the squad.
Can we all agree that this should stop? I see that Phil has said that he doesn't mind, but the reason he was brought him in was to pick his own team and we can then worry about training and playing.
Your thoughts would be appreciated

I personally don't have a problem with it, if people want to publicly try and give the tream fresh ideas or make their feelings felt then fair enough. The only bit of disharmony that I've ever seen in such threads was about goalkeeping, and that wasn't really a big issue.

What mike said^^ it's only our ideas of what our team would be and what formations could be used, kind of like fantasy football. If someone cries over spilt milk because they aren't in someone's team then there's something wrong with that person.

I still think it causes disharmony. Only the manager has final say. If you want to play fantasy football then sign up for the sun!

If you take it to heart then don't read the thread, it's the persons choice to read the thread. *It was a Simile comparing the team choices to fantasy football not saying they are identical.

Believe me Liam i have no problem with what any of you younger lads think because i know that i would walk into any Baglan team as have played football at a much higher level. Your team choices are naive at best.
If someone picks a team on the website and does not pick certain players then it is bound to have an effect on relations between players in general.
What benefit do we get from knowing each others teams? None.
Lets just leave it to the manager

First off, lets not turn this into a "I've done more than you" fest. We've got players who were scouted at youth level, played for the district and even been capped. Arguing about whos the "best" is pointless. I'm sure Phil isn't influenced by any team that he see's on this site, its just people sharing their ideas with the rest of the team which can then be commented on and constructively criticised. No-ones trying to cause disharmony or make people feel bad, and it'd be a pretty boring forum without some sort of team discussion. The teams picked on the website are quite a lot similiar to the team picked on the day, as the members of the squad who have trained hard through the summer and shown commitment to the team are usually the ones who get picked. I'm not trying to nit-pick or cause tension or whatever, I just don't really see the issue over a few lads sharing ideas for the team.

Lets just leave it to the manager im not saying your crap, your very talented. but you are right. if i saw my name on the subs bench i would crumble into a wreck, go home and become an alcoholic and throw myself off a bridge. As i have been in training, i can see who is doing well and pick my team based on that, which isnt naive because you haven't been. i don't know why this has taken a bad turn because you was included in everyone's team. if i was the person not included in someone's team on here i might think to myself why. That would make me work harder to get into the team.

Personally I don t see it as a problem this forum is here to extend the enjoyment from the games we play ,before and after.
I don t really think that people are worried about the teams that are picked, because everybody knows that in certian postions people will pick their friends, and it is just for fun with no influence on the team being picked what so ever.
If people are going to discuss formations again no doubt they will, then it does seem to make sense to see where they would put people to play in different formations.
I am sure people who are left out of the team on a Saturday will be more upset than being left out on a team picked on here for fun.
P.S I am delighted that i don t have to decide on any team selections this season,I can easily say everybody seems up for it this season and everybody seems to have improved.
Lets enjoy our selfs and not take this site to seriously
