-------------------------------------Mal-------------------------------------
--------------Liam---------------Chris L-------------Rhys W-------------
------------------------------------Mike-------------------------------------
Rhys L-----------------------------------------------------------------Aled
---------------------Neil-----------------------Weasel---------------------
-------------------Stimson--------------------Chris P---------------------
I know Mal won't be pleased but with Clarkey, Nick and The Cat missing he's the only person who can play in goals as far as i know. Thought Chris L had a really good game in defence previously, won a lot of ball in the air and was well organised (sorry chris). Does anyone know if Tom is playing as well

If that's on Thursday night, then I believe I will be available for it. I'll definitely come to watch and then perhaps play a bit in the second half like I did in the last match. I'm going to the doctor's in the week so hopefully he can tell me when my ankle will be better.

Not this saturday cause its still sore but i wanna be ready by saturday 30th Mike, Koinonia game is on Thursday on astroturf so as far as I am concerned that's you out of it. There is no chance of me risking you on astro before season starts. The friendly against NCC [away] on grass is next Sat 1st Sept'. I would want to be convinced that you are fully recovered from whatever the problem is before playing you. I would rather wait another week until first league game against Brackla on Sat 8th if there is any doubt. Keep me in the picture on this. This all does present us with a problem though as goalkeeper cover is non existent with both Mal and Nick being unavailable for some weeks due to other commitments.

Thats fair enough Phil. Hate not playing but i think at the moment it might get worse. Christian L is very eager to play in goals as its a secret passion of his. He said something about his love of catching balls but i didnt hear the rest!

Rhys i don't mean to be rude but i'm not playing in goal. I suppose that could e perceived as putting myself above the team but that is not the case. How about you play in goal? Your young and no doubt you'd do a decent job, so maybe thats an option. Plus i offer more in midfield than you so that would probably be a better option!!!
You have also failed to pick Rod in your team once again which is interesting. Surely Rod offers more than Chris Parry upfront as he is quicker and stronger, plus he scored a hat-tricj in the last friendly he scored.

One more thing. I've noticed that your best mid-field is Weasel, Mike and Neil, Do you honestly think this would be better than Me, XR and Weasel. Again i am somewhat mystified by this choice???

"Rhys i don't mean to be rude but i'm not playing in goal" Mal, I am a little confused here. Are you saying you are available this Thursday against Koinonia but are not prepared to play in goal ? I thought you were not available but if you were, in the event of an such a goalkeeper emergency as now exists [or may occur in future with Nick being unavailable], you would help out the team by going between the sticks. Perhaps you can let me know the definitive answers to these questions please.

Why does it fall on my shouldrs to go in goal? I'm not fishing for compliments but i genuinely believe that my performances were just ok last year. Isn't it worth trying someone else in goals? I want to make centre midfield my own this year and for that reason i don't really want to be in and out of goals if it can be helped.
I am available this Thursday and on Saturday.

Just to add my little bit on the keeper debate. I dont think its unreasonable for people to suggest you Mal as a possible fourth replacement because you were so good at it when you played there last season. Me, Chris and Nick were options before you so its not just lumping it on you. In your defence you had a top game last saturday in midfield and it shows that you are well up there for selection in that position.

Just so you know Mr Parry, I am not saying that you wouldn't be in my team ;D i jusr find it odd that Rhys L never even seems to see Rod or Xr as an option. I don't think he realise what this division is like on a cold and wet January morning. We certainly need XR in the middle of the pack because he will give you 90 minutes and more. I cannot remember the amount of tackles that xr has made in injury time and saved goals. Plus Rod was the leagues top scorer a few years back when we had a better team. Only poor service from midfield has stopped ALL our strikers getting more goals over last few seasons.
For the record, i think we have an excellent chance of getting promoted this season, however, i think we may struggle the first few games with so many people out and then we'll be playing catch up all season! But hopefully i'm wrong

Please read the title, this is my opinion of the strongest team to play koinonia, with all our injuries. You would probably feature in central midfield otherwise, but as you're the only person left i've seen play in goals, that seemed a reasonable option. Again you mention XR's tackling, but we're playing on astroturf, its almost impossible to put in big tackles without conceding free kicks. Thus i opted for Mike, who i think its fair to say is a better distributor of the ball.
